Strawberry Affair at Mornington Peninsula Chocolaterie in Flinders to celebrate ‘match made in heaven’
Attention chocolate and strawberry lovers: European chocolatiers and pastry chefs are combining two of your favourite treats in a range of delicious ways on the Mornington Peninsula. Here’s what they’ll have on offer.

Strawberry and chocolate make a perfect match.
The two ingredients will be celebrated at the Strawberry Affair, held at the Mornington Peninsula Chocolaterie in Flinders from October 16 to 27, to mark the start of strawberry season.
Fresh strawberries from local Peninsula crops will be transformed into limited edition coverture chocolate and strawberry combinations by European chocolatiers and pastry chefs at the chocolaterie.
Strawberries will be coated in all types of chocolate, served in hot chocolates and milkshakes and used in various other sweet treats.
There will also be freshly churned strawberry and chocolate ice creams and sorbets.
Mornington Peninsula Chocolaterie owner Leanne Neeland said new season strawberries and their chocolate were a “match made in heaven”.

“We just love heralding local produce and working with premium berry grower Sunny Ridge Strawberry Farms to really celebrate this wonderful food match,” Ms Neeland said.
Mornington Peninsula Chocolaterie is open every from 9am-5pm daily.
Tasting sessions of 45 minutes are $20 and bookings are essential.
