Englishman Josh Shaw will make his Dandenong debut this weekend as the Panthers confront a key stretch of their Premier Cricket campaign.
Dandenong tumbled to ninth on the ladder after a 25-run defeat against Carlton on Saturday, dismissed for 206 after the Blues posted 231 batting first at Shepley Oval.

The inclusion of paceman Shaw will add to Dandenong’s bowling stocks as it prepares to face Camberwell Magpies in a must-win fixture for both clubs.
Shaw has taken 59 wickets in 24 first-class matches and had stints with Yorkshire and Gloucestershire.
“He’s a bowling all-rounder, so that will strengthen us,” Dandenong coach Nick Speak said.
“He’s played at Gloucestershire on loan the last two years and now he’s gone back to Yorkshire.
“They are keen for him to get some cricket in leading into pre-season and it is a good fit for us with the injuries we have got.”
Panthers opener Brett Forsyth moved to the top of the First XI runs chart with 79 from 117 balls against Carlton, but found few willing allies.
Peter Sweeney (31 not out), Lincoln Edwards (25) and skipper Tom Donnell (24) were the only other batsmen to reach 20 as Dandenong was skittled with 13 balls to spare.
“I think it probably flattered us a bit. We were 10 or 20 (runs) off the whole way through,” Speak said.
Donnell (3-29), James Nanopoulos (3-49) and Darren Pattinson (2-42) were the Panthers’ multiple wicket-takers.
While Dandenong is outside the top eight, it is only five points behind fifth-placed St Kilda after Round 10.
“The top four is probably a little way off, but there is certainly a lot of bunching around the next four after that,” Speak said.
“These next two games are pivotal.”
The Panthers travel to Camberwell for a one-day fixture this Saturday.
