The 21-year-old has removed Bancroft, Brendon McCullum, Ben McDermott, Usman Khawaja, James Vince, Moises Henriques and Ben Dunk during his short Twenty20 career.
“I thought he was excellent last night his control and his variations were a little bit tough to pick for some of the Scorchers guys,” Essendon coach Mitch Johnstone said.
“He made an impressive start.”
Bowe finished with 1-22 from four overs and was the most economical of the Stars five bowlers.
Johnstone said Bowe’s temperament was the key to his success in the bright lights of the BBL.

“He is just a fantastic young guy. Nothing really gets to him,” he said.
“He’s had a fair bit come his way the last couple of years and he has risen in the ranks really quickly.
“You wouldn’t be able to tell that at face value. He’s just really calm, measured, respectful and polite and takes it all in his stride.
“He deserves every success he gets.”
Bowe is likely to play against Adelaide Strikers tomorrow and in games against Hobart Hurricanes and Melbourne Renegades due to fellow spinner Adam Zampa’s Australian one-day international selection.
Essendon expects to be without the tweaker, who has taken 16 wickets this summer, until at least mid-February.
Leg-spinner Liam Molloy has deputised for Bowe in recent Premier matches.
The Bombers also face being without skipper Clint McKay for several games due to his role as a member of the Stars’ coaching panel.
