A 20-year-old who has spent the last couple of years in and out of jail is again behind bars, this time for being involved in fighting, theft and driving stolen cars.
The man was out on parole when he was nabbed in a stolen Audi in Mt Eliza, and he was part of a footy brawl against a team of disabled players while in prison.
Ricky Duffin, who is currently in jail, pleaded guilty to a range of charges at Frankston Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

The court heard Duffin was in prison serving a sentence in May last year when a group of inmates were playing a football game against a team of men who had disabilities.
The game, organised by police, descended into chaos after a fight between a couple of players.
Duffin and others got involved and they punched, kicked and stomped on a man while he was on the ground. The victim received bruising and cuts in the attack.
Security and police officers nearby separated the fighting groups and Duffin was taken back into custody.
After he was released on parole in August last year he managed to stay out of trouble for just one month.

On October 13 police were called after witnesses saw a ute driving erratically outside a Mt Eliza motel.
They saw Duffin leave the motel and get into the driver’s seat of a stolen Audi, believed to have been used in a Frankston burglary.
Officers managed to stop Duffin, who was a disqualified driver at the time, by using OC spray.
Inside the room the motel room he’d left, and also in the stolen car, were several items stolen during the Frankston raid.
Duffin was arrested and bailed, but he did not appear in court, a warrant was issued and he was soon caught.
His defence lawyer said he’d had a traumatic upbringing, had only a minor role in the football fight and the that he still had time to serve on his parole were factors that needed to be considered.
Magistrate Ross Betts said while it was serious offending he took into account Duffin’s age and pleas of guilty.
He was sentenced to 120 days in jail.
