Police investigate alleged machete assault in Narre Warren

Police are investigating after a man was allegedly assaulted with a machete in Narre Warren on New Year’s Day.

A man was allegedly assaulted with a machete on New Year’s Day in Narre Warren.

Police were told a man threatened another man with a sharp knife on Farmers Way around 5.10pm on January 1.

It’s unknown why the alleged attack happened but no-one was injured.

Police have released a photo of the man they want to speak to in relation to the incident.

He was wearing a blue hood, white top, grey pants and was seen allegedly carrying an object in his hand.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
