One person flown to hospital after Hastings crash

One person has been flown to hospital after a car was engulfed by flames as a result of a crash in the state’s southeast.

One person has been flown to hospital following a crash that resulted in a car bursting into flames in Victoria’s southeast.

Emergency services, including five CFA units, were called to the scene on Hendersons Rd and High St in Hastings at 10.40am on Friday.

“CFA units were from Langwarrin, Hastings, Tyabb and Bitten,” a CFA spokesperson said.

“Crews are on scene assessing one patient,” an Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said.

The person was airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

The situation was under control by 11.19am.
