A GROUP of men brandishing meat cleavers and a gun threatened a homeowner in Noble Park during an attempted aggravated burglary on Sunday.

POLICE want public help to catch a group of men brandishing meat cleavers and a gun during an attempted aggravated burglary on Sunday.
The three men, two armed with meat cleavers and one with a firearm, attempted to break in to a Bloomfield Rd house in Noble Park about 3.20am.

Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit detectives said the men used a white Toyota Hiace van and parked in the driveway before attempting to break in.
The trio then approached the front door and yelled out to a man who was inside the house to come out before attempting to force the door open. They then fled the scene in the white van.
The three offenders are described as Asian in appearance.
Detectives have released CCTV images of three men who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
