A “repugnant” Mornington Peninsula paedophile — who was meant to be a father figure — has been jailed for repeatedly raping his girlfriend’s young boy.
The County Court heard the 34-year-old pervert, who can’t be named, continually sexually abused the boy between the ages of six and seven.
The boy looked up to his “new daddy” but instead was molested, manipulated and degraded over a 14-month period.

The predator groomed and manipulated the boy, raping him in their home and on bike rides around the Peninsula between May, 2013 and July, 2014.
He would tell the child these were “special times” and if the boy told anyone, he would be angry and hurt his mum.
In July, 2014 the boy told his grandmother about the sexual abuse and police were called, but the pervert denied anything untoward had happened.
He was released and moved in Queensland, but a year later was extradited back to South Australia on charges for similar offending against the same boy in SA in early 2013.
On those charges he was sentenced to 11 years in jail in 2017, and then transferred to a Victorian prison in February last year.
In victim statements the boy, now 10, said before the abuse he was “full of life, loved singing, dancing, sports, hanging out with friends and cousins.”
But now he “hated all that, saying when he did sleep, he had bad dreams and woke up crying” — the man he called his father had “ruined his life”.
The sickening sexual abuse has also destroyed the lives of his mother and grandmother, who felt betrayed and guilty that they didn’t know their beloved boy was being raped.
His mother said she was “in shock, felt very angry, sad, disgusted, guilty, depressed and numb.”
His grandmother said she “she saw a young child ripped apart, hurt, bribed and groomed.”
In sentencing handed down on April 2, Judge Susan Pullen said the case was “serious, disturbing and repugnant” and he had caused “considerable psychological harm” by repeatedly violating someone who held him in high regard as a father figure.
He was jailed for eight years, with three years to be served on top of his South Australian term.
The earliest date he can be released is July, 2023. He will be on the sex offender register for life.
