Mornington man Michael Dragojlovic sentenced for removing condom during sex

A “nerdy” son of a former cop found himself in a sticky situation after he slyly removed a condom while having sex with a Seaford sex worker before telling his victim, “It’s just what I do”.

Michael Dragojlovic has been sentenced for removing a condom while having sex with a prostitute.

A prostitute-addicted son of an ex-cop has narrowly avoided a jail term after he sneakily took the condom off while getting it on with a sex worker.

Michael Dragojlovic, 36, was sentenced in the County Court on Friday to a three-year community correction order after pleading guilty to procuring a sexual act by fraud.

Dragojlovic, who lived in Carrum Downs, committed the crime while visiting Seaford brothel Presidential Suite in late-2018.

The court heard Dragojlovic had explicitly been told he needed to wear a condom before the sex began.

He then kept fiddling with the condom during the intercourse, leading to the prostitute insisting on putting a new one on him.

They continued having sex from behind before he finished and she noticed he was no longer wearing the condom.

The woman asked him where it was and Dragojlovic smirked as he showed her it was in his hand.

Fearing he had taken it off to infect her with an sexually transmitted infection, the woman asked Dragojlovic why he had done it, to which he replied, “It’s just what I do”.

He then apologised and looked like he was going to cry when she asked why he would do such a thing.

The woman then cried and left the room.

Her colleagues called the police but Dragojlovic left before officers arrived.

However police were able to retrieve his DNA and bank details from the brothel.

Dragojlovic’s lawyer told the court the IT professional had spent the two years since the act regretting his “selfish and unlawful” decision, saying it was spontaneous and done only to make the sex feel better.

It was heard Dragojlovic had no experience with healthy heterosexual relationships and had become addicted to going to prostitutes years earlier.

His lawyer revealed Dragojlovic was bullied at school and called “small and nerdy”.

The court heard Dragojlovic had avoidant personality disorder and was a “socially awkward man”, with prison likely to more onerous for him than the average person.

Dragojlovic submitted an apology letter to the court and undertook four sessions of sexual offence therapy before his court date.

The court was told Dragojlovic now lives in Mornington with his parents including his former police officer father.

Judge Michael McInerney said Dragojlovic’s criminality was “deliberate and serious” and his sentence needed to deter other offenders.

But Judge McInerney said he also took into account the benefit of Dragojlovic’s plea and lack of criminal history in fining him $10,000 and placing him on a ”therapeutic” community correction order.
