Hoddle’s Creek chippy James ‘Jamie’ Prowse avoids jail for social media sex crimes
A Hoddle’s Creek chippy has been exposed as an online fiend after he sent lewd images and messages to 15-year-old target including a promise that if they had met for sex then he would “have a mouth full already”.

A sex fiend chippy who used social media to send lewd images and messages to a 15-year-old schoolgirl he wanted to meet for sex has dodged jail time.
James ‘Jamie’ Prowse, 30, was sentenced in the County Court on Friday to a 12-month suspended jail term after pleading guilty to using a carriage service to groom a person under 16 years of age.
Prowse groomed his target via social media app KiK between September 2019 and January this 2020.
Prowse thought he was messaging a 15-year-old schoolgirl named ‘Sienna Rose’ but was actually communicating with an undercover Joint Anti-Child Exploitation Team officer.
The Hoddle’s Creek apprentice carpenter sent his target sexually explicit images and messages which outlined the type of sexual activity he wanted to perform.
Prowse, under the KiK handle ‘Jamie Prowsealicious’, sent Sienna an image of his penis and asked if she wanted to “hook up”.
“(I’m a) pretty shy dude just putting myself out there to get experience with other girls,” Prowse said in the message.
In further exchanges Prowse encouraged his target not to tell her mother by suggesting what she “doesn’t know can’t hurt her”.
Prowse also said he wasn’t “sum weirdo” (sic) and gave Sienna ideas on how the pair could meet up.
“Obviously lol I just really wanna meet up with u so I’m coming up with ideas,” Prowse said. “If u have a better way.....let us know.
“Lol I’m not but ok it’s up to u not gonna pressure u or anything.
“Just wanted some random fun.
“lol u will end up on ur back with my c*** in u that’s bout it”.
Sienna told Prowse she was 15 and lived in “Dandy” with her mum and little brother.
This didn’t deter Prowse who again tried to get his target to hook up with him.
Prowse told Sienna to add him on Facebook and “when your happy I’m not Ivan Milat u should tell your mum u going to ur friends n come stay at mine”.
“I added u n saw couple more of your pics u r sexy as f*** babe,” Prowse said.
Prowse continued his lewd messaging and repeatedly requested the pair meet for a “cheeky hook up”.
“I can take ur clothes off with my teeth,” he said.
“If it were up to me I’d have a mouth full already.”
The communication went quiet until Prowse messaged his target in January.
“Let’s f*** already,” he wrote.
Police arrested Prowse on February 26.
Prowse admitted messaging the target but told police he only used KiK on the mornings after he had taken drugs.
Prowse also claimed he had no intention of meeting Sienna Rose and from December 25 he “forgot” she was underage.
He claimed he wouldn’t have met with Sienna Rose because he had seen “videos” where “instead of the young person being there there’s a bunch of big blokes are there to beat you up”.
Prowse told the court he turned to daily drug use after the death of his brother-in-law.
Prowse also told the court he was not sexually interested in underage girls.
“(The offending) made me feel sick,” Prowse said.
“It makes feel like crap, I don’t believe it’s who I am or what I stand for.”
Judge Sarah Leighfield said Prowse committed “serious” offending.
She said the fact Prowse spoke to an undercover cop did not lessen his offending but only “luckily” spared a 15-year-old child from real trauma.
However, judge Leighfield took into account Prowse’s rehabilitation efforts since his arrest despite Prowse admitting he still used meth.
Prowse was released on a two-year good behaviour bond.
He must undertake mental health and drug treatment assessment and be under sex offender management during the period.
Prowse, who appeared in person, was made a registered sex offender for eight years.
