Mornington man loses licence after crashing into Mt Eliza fence, cars

A Mornington man, 32, has had licence suspended after a Mt Eliza crash on Thursday.

The man was driving on Canadian Bay Road when he allegedly hit two parked cars and a fence about 4.30pm.

Police said he then abandoned his car and was spotted walking around “looking lost in a dressing gown”.

The man was found by police and returned a positive preliminary breath test.

He was taken back to Mornington police station where he returned a positive evidentiary breath test of 0.192.

The man had his licence suspended immediately and is expected to be charged on summons with exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol while driving and other traffic offences.
