A hothead Melbourne junkie bashed a mum’s head in with an iron bar before fleeing to Surfers Paradise in the victim’s Ford Falcon.

Madison Gentsch, 28, fronted the County Court on Tuesday after pleading guilty to assault.

Gentsch attacked her victim after a traffic ambush in Frankston on June 27 last year.

The court heard Gentsch previously lived with the victim in Frankston but was booted out for “ongoing conflict”.

Gentsch’s tiff ignited after the unemployed junkie bought a BMW then transferred her old Ford Falcon to the victim.

The Falcon was a “gift” for allowing Gentsch to stay at the victim’s home, the court was told.

Gentsch got a bee in her bonnet after the victim advertised personalised number plates ‘EATZWA’ on Facebook Marketplace on June 26.

Gentsch’s friend contacted the victim and arranged to purchase the plates which the court heard had been advertised for $10,000.

The victim, a mother, arranged to meet the buyer at the Beach St IGA but she was blocked and ambushed while she and another man drove the Falcon to the buy meet on June 27.

Gentsch was extradited from the Gold Coast back to Melbourne.

Gentsch, who was armed with an iron bar, and another man, sprang from a black SUV and attacked the victim and the other man.

Gentsch clobbered the victim in the head several times and attempted to pull the victim out of the Falcon by her hair.

Gentsch eventually pulled the victim out of the car before she and her male friend got into the Falcon.

Gentsch then slammed the door on the victim’s legs three times, drove away and left the bloodied woman in the gutter.

A second unknown accomplice drove the black SUV from the scene.

Multiple witnesses called Victoria Police before the victim was rushed to hospital with multiple head injuries.

Bodycam footage of the aftermath which depicted the victim bleeding and groaning on the ground was played to the court.

Gentsch has since gotten tattoos on her neck and face.

In the meantime, Gentsch and the man had hightailed it to the Gold Coast.

Queensland police nabbed the pair as they approached the Falcon in Surfers Paradise on August 2.

Gentsch and the man were extradited back to Victoria on August 8.

Gentsch told police she received a phone call on the day of the assault which gave her the “green light” to “get what’s hers”.

Gentsch said she was upset because the victim had allegedly advertised her plates on Marketplace for $10,000.

Police also quizzed Gentsch and if she knew the victim would be leaving her house prior to the assault.

“She told some c--t she would be there at the meet spot to f--kin sell her plates,” Gentsch told police.

Gentsch told police she “would not disclose whose car she was in or who she was with” because they would “f--kin kill (me)”.

Gentsch, now of Mill Park, also claimed the other man at the scene had face tatts and an extendible baton and he lived in Lang Lang.

The victim said, in her impact statement, Gentsch “destroyed her passion to help others”.

“I still live in fear that they will come and attack me again,” the victim said.

“I have struggled every day since the attack … I am nervous and on edge … I would rather be in my room which is my safe zone rather than spend time with my children …

“Since the attack I don’t see life like I use to … I suffer from nightmares …”

Gentsch, who now has tattoos on her neck and face, is unemployed and on the carer dole.

The court heard Gentsch, a meth junkie who used more than a gram of ice a day, lost seven teeth while spending time inside Dame Phyllis Frost.

Judge Richard Maidment described Gentsch’s weapon as being an “iron bar”.

Gentsch, who had spent 107 days on remand, had her bail extended to be sentenced at a later date.
