The footage of two smug young thugs who filmed themselves as they cruised through Melbourne’s southeast in a stolen luxury car has landed them in court.

Maddison Thomson, 19, fronted the County Court on Monday having pleaded guilty to two charges of theft and one charge of home invasion relating to a string of crimes in the early hours of December 3.

The court heard Thomson, then 18, and an underage co-offender snuck into Kim Cl Frankston South home through an unlocked backdoor as a second co-offender kept a lookout on the street.

As the two homeowners and their two children slept, Thomson and her co-offender helped themselves to three sets of car keys before the trio jumped into their victims’ Jaguar and sped off.

The group returned with an unknown offender who took the resident’s Corolla with the second co-offender, while Thomson and the first co-offender stayed in the Jaguar.

Police watched as the cars later reached dangerous speeds down Doveton Ave in Eummering.

The drivers pulled over when police flashed their lights but as officers got out of their cars, the crims sped off.

They were later witnessed speeding through a red light on Princes Hwy.

The offenders’ luck ran out when officers discovered the Corolla parked 100m from the home of one of the first co-offender the next day.

Incriminating messages and pictures between the child and Thomson were also found on the child’s phone.

“Take all the credit for the cars, now you acting like I don’t exist hahah (I) bet,” Thomson wrote on December 3.

“What no ahahah we both got it went in and got keys,” the co-offender replied.

Videos of Thomson sitting in the passenger seat of the Jaguar were found on Thomson’s phone when she was arrested on December 6.

The phone also contained pictures of the Jaguar as well as text messages regarding its sale and screenshots of Victoria Police Facebook Eye Watch posts relating to aggravated burglaries.

Thomson’s hearing came less than a week after she pleaded guilty in the Frankston Magistrates’ Court to deception and theft offences dating back to November and December.

She and her mates repeatedly stole from cars and used stolen bank cards and cash to fraudulently buy burgers, booze and cigarettes.

Thomson also used one stolen card to buy almost $300 worth of alcohol online — and had the goon delivered to her home.

Her defence lawyer told the court her client was heavily using ice and GHB and easily influenced by others during the “unsophisticated” crime spree.

She said Thomson now worked part time in her mum’s cafe, was setting up a business selling eyelashes and was about to launch an online shop.

The first co-offender was convicted and sentenced to an aggregate term of five months in a youth justice centre for theft, drive dangerous and home invasion charges in the Children’s Court on May 26.

The second co-offender was released on a 12-month youth supervision order for aggravated burglary, theft and drug charges in the Children’s Court in January.

Thomson will return to the County Court for sentence on December 8.
