One person has died after a fire ripped through a Langwarrin home.
The CFA said firefighters were called to the North Rd blaze at 6.14am on Thursday, August 24 and found the single storey weatherboard house, about 10 x 15m in size, well alight.
A CFA spokesperson said the fire was brought under control at 7.22am but one person was unaccounted for.
Police later confirmed a body had been found inside the house.
The person is yet to be identified but at this stage police believe the circumstances are not believed to be suspicious.
Police and the CFA remain at the scene of the large sprawling property, which is lined by large trees, near the corner of Spring Hill Rd.
The house appears to be at the back of property, with a long driveway leading up.
A CFA volunteer was seen petting a dog which was on a leash.
The CFA has eight vehicles on scene supported by Fire Rescue Victoria crews.
Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria are also on scene.
A crime scene has been established and detectives are working to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the fire.
The home sits on acreage and is blocked from view of the road by a row of trees along the fenceline.
