A St Kilda man accused of trafficking meth alongside other drug and theft related offending has had his case delayed.

Joseph Gauci, 48, fronted the Moorabbin Magistrates’ Court on July 17, accused of a long list

In court documents seen by the Herald Sun, Mr Gauci was charged with eight drug related matters alongside dishonesty charges, ranging in date from 2020 to 2023.

The court heard Mr Gauci allegedly caught with methamphetamines, cannabis, 1,4 butanediol, diazepam and methocardomal in St Kilda in July 2020, where police also allege he was trafficking methamphetamines.

Mr Gauci will return to court and is expected to plead guilty to the charges in August.

Court documents showed Mr Gauci was also accused of dishonestly receiving goods on behalf of another person in June 2020, which included one Gucci wallet and six bank cards not in his name.

The court heard Mr Gauci’s lawyer ask for an adjournment due to the “complexity of the charges”.

Magistrate Luisa Bazzani agreed to the delay, and adjourned the matter to August 15.

Mr Gauci will return to Moorabbin Magistrates’ Court in August and is expected to enter a guilty plea to all the charges.
