Jane Boadle is being remembered as a caring and enthusiastic woman with “healing hands”

The osteopath was killed when the car she was driving ran off the road at Somerville overnight on Sunday, June 27.

Police on patrol came across the accident scene at the intersection of Frankston-Flinders and Bungower roads about 2.10am on Monday, June 28.

They attempted to revive Dr Boadle but were unsuccessful.

Police suspect she lost control of the car and ran off the road into a tree.

Shocked friends and colleagues said Dr Boadle was “empathetic and compassionate” and her death was a significant loss.

Dr Boadle treated patients at InMotion Osteopathy in Rosebud and also worked with Equine Pathways Australia.

The not-for-profit was started in 2017 by Julia Battams to provide programs for people with a disability or recovering from illness or injury to engage with or return to equine sport.

Ms Battams said Dr Boadle was a dedicated equestrian and her work with EPA allowed her to combine her passions for healing and horses.

“We cannot express how shocked and saddened we were by this news,” Ms Battams posted online.

“Our EPA athletes, volunteers and staff were able to meet by Zoom the following day to share our memories and recollections of Jane and what an enormous impact she had on the entire program.

“Her smiling face and enthusiastic, caring, open personality will be missed more than we can say.”

Ms Battams said Dr Boadle had treated many amateur and professional athletes including the Malaysian Track Cycling Team, travelling to World Cups and 1 World Championship with the team.

Dr Boadle’s long time friend Tanya Montgomery sent her respects from Perth.

“I’m glad to have held hands with beautiful Jane Boadle through the best chapters of our adult lives,” she said.

“We wish a gazillion stars to sparkle brightly with her.

“A damn amazing woman, soul Sista and friend. Oh man we adore you. Love and pony gallops, Sweet Jelly”

The Toorak College Class of 1986 also paid tribute to Dr Boadle online with one alumnus remembering her “smile that would make you smile in return”.

A memorial service for Jane Boadle will be held at the Frankston Cultural Centre on Wednesday, July 14 at 2pm.

Those who cannot attend will be able to live stream the celebration of Ms Boadle’s life.
