A young boy stole a Porsche and BMW following a horrifying home invasion in Hampton, a court has heard.

The 14-year-old pleaded guilty to charges including aggravated home invasion and theft of motor vehicle at the Children’s Court on Friday.

Magistrate Suzette Dootjes heard the child and three others were wearing masks when they broke into a Hampton home armed with sticks about 6am on January 31.

The group got away with $18,000 worth of jewellery plus a selection of electronics, before nicking the petrified victim’s $40,000 BMW sedan.

On February 3rd the boy and three others were cruising in a $50,000 Porsche sedan — stolen from an undisclosed address the day before — when one of the tyres blew in a Carrum Downs street.

A nearby resident saw the foursome walking from the car and offered assistance before two members of the group followed him back into his house and bashed him.

The 14-year-old was not charged in relation to the vicious attack.

“Without saying anything (the attackers) started to assault (the victim), punching him to the face multiple times before (the victim) has fallen onto the ground,” the prosecution said.

“(They) continued to assault (the victim) while he was on the ground.”

The thugs nicked their victim’s Hyundai sedan before the car was uncovered by police at the 14-year-old’s house.

He and two others who were seen in the car earlier were arrested.

A GPS analysis of the boy’s phone pinpointed him at the Hampton address at the same time as the home invasion on January 31.

Keys to the stolen BMW were also found in his satchel.

The court heard the boy, who has spent 33 days in custody at Parkville Youth Justice Precinct, had not been in custody before.

He was remanded to return on March 26.
