Graffiti video: Vandal caught spraying ‘crap’ on Frankston wall

A vandal has been caught on camera spraying graffiti described by a local MP as “crap” on the side of a Frankston building, as police vow to crack down on people caught defacing property.

Police have vowed to crack down on graffiti vandals after footage emerged on social media of a man defacing a Frankston wall.

Frankston Acting Senior Sergeant Andrew Whitehead said police took prosecuting taggers and those caught defacing property “seriously”.

“It costs a fortune for councils and business owners to clean up tags and other graffiti from walls,” he said.

“If we are out there and we catch someone spray-painting or tagging then we’re going to arrest them.

“If anyone has information about which tags belong to who then we encourage to let police know via Crime Stoppers.”

Acting Senior Sergeant Whitehead’s warning comes after footage of a graffiti vandal tagging a Frankston wall in a daylight attack emerged on social media.

Frankston state Labor MP Paul Edbrooke, who posted the footage on his Facebook page, called the incident “crap”.

“We are huge fans of great street art in Frankston, but not this crap,” he said.
