A firefighter has been injured fighting an intense blaze that destroyed a Wardale Rd, Springvale South home.

One firefighter has been injured and two residents treated for smoke inhalation after an intense blaze destroyed a Springvale South home on Sunday night.
Firefighters were called to the Wardale Rd home at 8.43pm where they found the two-storey brick home fully engulfed by flames.
The fire was intensified by a high fuel load surrounding the property, fireys said.
One firefighter was injured fighting the blaze and was treated by paramedics on scene for minor injuries.
Everyone inside the home was able to flee the property after the fire broke out, with two occupants treated for smoke inhalation by paramedics.
Neighbouring homes were also threatened by the flames but firefighters were able to stop the spread of the fire.
A Fire Rescue Victoria spokesman said the house was “extensively damaged” by the blaze.
The cause of the fire remains undetermined and fire investigators will attend the scene on Monday morning.
