A serious medical condition could be to blame for the tragic death of an elderly Aspendale driver, it has been revealed. It comes after paramedics worked tirelessly to revive the 90-year-old man after he suddenly lost control of his car in Edithvale.

An elderly Aspendale man died in a tragic smash at Edithvale last week, it has been revealed.
And police have launched a probe into whether a medical episode could have sparked the horrific accident.
It comes after the 90-year-old was travelling east along Langrigg Ave when he lost control and slammed into a parked car about 6.30pm on August 26.
Paramedics rushed to the scene to help the man but he could not be revived.
“The impact of the collision caused the parked car to be pushed into a second parked car,” a Victoria Police spokesman said.
“Paramedics treated the man at the scene but he sadly died.”
A Victoria Police spokesman told the Leader information of the man’s death had been delayed as police continue to investigate whether a medical condition sparked the crash.
“Police will prepare a report for the coroner,” a spokesman said.
The man’s death brings the state’s road toll to 148 lives lost, 35 less than same time last year.
