David Leech allegedly stalked his two-week lover by allegedly sending rude videos of him pleasuring himself

A Frankston man who had a very short-term love affair with a long-term friend many years ago couldn’t let go after she pulled the plug. And allegedly sent her videos of him doing a dirty deed in the hope of winning her back.

A jilted lover allegedly sent three disturbing videos of himself masturbating to a woman he had a brief affair with.

A jilted lover who had a two-week dalliance with a female friend several years ago has faced court over allegations he sent the woman three disturbing videos of himself performing a lewd act.

David Leech is also accused of stalking the woman by bombarding her with more than a thousand unwanted calls and sending her a barrage of unwelcome messages.

Police say he has vowed to not stop because he says “he loves her” and they want him to remain behind bars until his court case next month.

Mr Leech, of Frankston, also faces theft of a car and a series of traffic charges including twice driving while high on drugs, repeatedly driving while disqualified and riding a motorbike with false number plates.

Mr Leech appeared at the online Frankston Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday to apply for bail.

The court heard he had a very short-term relationship, lasting a couple of weeks, with a long-term friend a few years ago.

He called her repeatedly between 2018 and early this year asking to rekindle the love affair, but she rebuffed him.

In June this year she went to the police after he allegedly sent her a video message of him pleasuring himself.

He was interviewed and denied sending the lewd film, allegedly saying “I don’t want to look at a bloke masturbating”.

Police say in defiance of a court order between June and August this year he called her 1200 times and sent her two more masturbation videos.

He allegedly told police he had never threatened her, he is “in love with her” and will continue sending messages because “he wants to hear from her”.

Police also say he was caught driving a stolen Nissan Navara in Carrum Downs in March last year that had number plates belonging to his mum’s Ford Falcon.

He was also allegedly caught drug driving on both ice and cannabis in Carrum Downs in June 2018 and again in July last year, allegedly again high on ice, in Frankston North.

And he was also allegedly the rider of a motorbike in Carrum Downs in February this year that had never been registered that had a fake number plate attached.

His defence lawyer said the alleged videos came from a private number the prosecution couldn’t positively link to Mr Leech and he should be bailed to live with his sister in Frankston.

But his sister was unable to give evidence as she had become ill, so the case was adjourned.

Magistrate Charles Tan remanded Mr Leech in custody to continue the bail application on October 5.
