The words “tyrant”, “scum” and “liar” have been sprayed on Premier Daniel Andrews electorate office. This comes as a nearby shop owner revealed overseas visitors weren’t COVID tested on entry into Australia.

Hate graffiti with the words “tyrant”, “scum”, “liar”, “lackey” and “CCP” scrawled in red have been cleaned off Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews’ electorate office.

Leader arrived at Mr Andrews’ Mulgrave MP District office in Noble Park, just in time to see the graffiti removal truck pulling away after cleaning the vandalism off the office window.

Leader understands “CCP” stands for Chinese Communist Party.

This is not the first time Mr Andrews’ has been the target of vandalism with a poster depicting the Premier as Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler discovered in Highett in July.

The poster, depicting Mr Andrews with a swastika on his forehead and a toothbrush moustache, was found stuck to a traffic sign near the corner of Highett and Spring roads.

A nearby florist owner Afrim, who works along the same shopping strip as Mr Andrews electorate office, said those vandalising the window were “frustrated”.

He said the State Government had made “mistake after mistake”.

“I think everything they have handled, they say they’ve done it perfectly, but they’ve lied about everything they’ve done — the hotel quarantine, using the ADF troops,” Afrim said.

“What can you say if they’ve lied about it? Who are they working for? They’re not working for us.”

Afrim said he had relatives arrive at Melbourne Airport from overseas who were not tested for coronavirus and let straight through.

“We have had a lot of calls from people wanting to send flowers to cheer people up during lockdown,” Afrim said.

“(I) have heard some fathers have committed suicide because of the stress.”

“Parents are struggling with homeschooling especially those who have children with special needs.”

Mr Andrews’ office has been contacted for comment.
