Cranbourne: Man accused of ramming police car in tow truck arrested in stolen car

A man who allegedly rammed a police car in a stolen tow truck in Melbourne’s southeast has been caught – in another allegedly stolen car.

A man accused of ramming a police car in a stolen tow truck has been arrested – after he was found in another allegedly stolen car.

Officers identified a Carrum Downs man driving the alleged stolen car on Collision Rd in Cranbourne at 10.30pm on Tuesday, April 20.

The man was also wanted by police over an incident on Saturday, April 17, where he allegedly deliberately reversed a stolen tow truck into a police vehicle in Cranbourne about 9.30am.

He then allegedly sped off and dumped the truck at a nearby construction site.

The 24-year-old man has been charged with aggravated intentionally exposing an emergency worker to risk by driving, thefts, assaulting an emergency worker, bail and traffic offences.

He has been remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 21.
