Cranbourne, Dandenong Covid-19 cases: Narre Warren South P-12 cluster grows

The number of active cases in schools across Melbourne’s south east continues to grow, with one cluster increasing at an alarming rate.

The number of active Covid cases in south east schools has grown to 90, while another four local schools temporarily shutting their doors on Tuesday.

Covid-19 clusters linked to Narre Warren South P-12, Dandenong South Primary School and Lyndhurst Primary School remain the most significant, representing 46 of the active cases.

It comes as Berwick Secondary College, Hampton Park Primary School, Hampton Park Secondary School and Officer Secondary College were all listed as closed today on the education.vic website.

The remaining south east schools registered as cluster sites include Oakleigh South Primary School, Devon Meadows Primary School, St Clare’s Primary School in Officer and River Gum Primary School in Hampton Park.

Yesterday the City of Casey recorded 107 new cases of Covid-19, the highest of any Victorian LGA, bringing its number of active cases to 1734.

The City of Greater Dandenong recorded 41 new cases, bringing its total to 965.
