A beloved beagle stolen from an elderly man’s car as he went into a milk bar to buy a paper in Melbourne’s southeast has been found by police.
Millie, a nine-year-old beagle, was in the vehicle while the 85-year-old man went inside to quickly buy a paper at the Anchorage Drive milk bar about 8.30am on Saturday, June 22.
When he came back the vehicle was gone and so was Millie.
The car, a 2005 Suzuki SUV, was recovered in Bentleigh on Monday but Millie was missing for more than a week until police found her “safe and sound” in the Yarra Ranges.
