Police fear a young man believed to be involved in an “explosion” on June 8 could have suffered serious injuries. Police are requesting information into the whereabouts of Cody Lockens, 23, as they are concerned for his welfare. A young person who did a petrol runner from a Baxter service station on June 9 is wanted by police. The unknown suspect drove a green Holden VS ute with stolen plates BAM 684 to the Baxter-Tooradin Rd servo sometime after dark, filled up the car and drove off without paying. The plates were stolen from Dromana on May 25. Anyone with info should call Hastings Police on 5970 7800.

Police have renewed their call for help to catch the driver of a Ford ute that sideswiped a parked car in Hastings on May 20 before driving off. The incident occurred on High St about 6.30pm. It is believed the driver swiped the car before speeding onto King St. The vehicle is described as a silver Ford ute with an aluminium tray, laden with “tradie type” tools and signage on the left side. Investigators have obtained a clearer photo of what the ute looks like. Anyone who can identify the vehicle is urged to call Senior Constable Kennedy at Hastings police station on 5970 7800.

LANGWARRIN
A Langwarrin man who allegedly carjacked a woman in Clayton on June 11 has been arrested. Police allege a 26-year-old woman was getting into her Lexus sedan on Marshall Ave about 10.15am when the man, 20, pulled her out of the car and took off in the vehicle. The man was arrested in Dandenong on June 12. He was charged with carjacking and theft from motor vehicle and remanded to appear at Moorabbin Magistrates’ Court on June 27.
CARRUM DOWNS
A tobacco loving suspected thief who stole a credit card from a car in Carrum Downs is wanted by police. The unknown crook broke into the parked car on Oberon Drive sometime overnight on either June 9 or 10. The stolen credit card was used to $150 worth of cigarettes from a service station on Frankston-Dandenong Rd just after 5am.

A woman who assaulted another woman and demanded her car keys at Narre Warren station on May 16 is wanted by police. Investigators have been told the victim, a 28-year-old Narre Warren woman, was standing next to her vehicle holding her two-year-old child in the carpark when she was approached by an unknown female about 2pm. The unknown offender demanded the car keys and assaulted her but the victim refused to hand them over. The woman fled on foot. The victim and her child were not injured.

A woman who stole a car from Berwick on May 19 is wanted by police. Investigators have released an image of the female crook who was believed to stolen the car from outside a home sometime after 4am.
CRANBOURNE
Police have vowed to fine motorists who speed after they received several complaints concerning the new 80km/h speed limit on the South Gipplsand Hwy between the Five Ways intersection and Cranbourne Rd. Police investigated after many people used Facebook to slam police for issuing tickets and the “poor” quality of the signs. “Yesterday morning (June 12) we decided to go for a drive to have a look for ourselves,” a police spokesperson said. “We thought the new signs were abundantly clear. “We will always enforce speed limits on our roads and do not apologise for this.”
CRANBOURNE
A gang of ruffians who assaulted a man at Cranbourne Park Shopping Centre on May 6 are wanted by police. The male victim, 19, left the centre and was crossing Greaves St just after 6pm when four thugs in a silver Holden or Ford drove up to him. The four suspects got out, surrounded the man and demanded he hand over his cigarettes. The menaces punched him in the face and took his smokes. Police are hunting for four 180cm tall, thinly built persons of African appearance who were all wearing bandannas.

A man who tried to carjack a woman and her car in the Dandenong KFC carpark before going on a road rage rampage has been arrested. The victim, 27, was in the carpark of the Princes Highway restaurant when the man drove up to her in a stolen Honda CRV about 12.30pm on June 9. He yelled at her to “come here” before getting out the car and demanding her car keys. The victim ran to a friend, who had called police. The offender fled but was later involved in two road rage incidents in Oswald St and David St, Dandenong. It’s alleged the man tailgated two motorists before hitting their cars and driving off. The suspect, 32, was arrested in Dandenong on June 15. He was charged with attempted carjacking, theft of motor vehicle and numerous traffic violations.
SPRINGVALE SOUTH
A gang who crept into a Springvale South home before stealing car keys and a car are on the run from police. The offenders got into the Corio Drive home about 6.30pm on June 16 via the unlocked side kitchen door. They stole car keys and fled in a 2011 Honda CRV. A 20-year-old man who was home at the time witnessed his mum’s car being driven away. The car was later recovered in Noble Park.
DANDENONG
Dandenong detectives are looking for the owners of an unregistered blue Kawasaki 250cc road bike and an unregistered grey 6x4 box trailer. The items, believed to be the proceeds of crime, were recovered by police on May 23. Police found the items in Doveton while they were being towed by a stolen grey Hyundai Santa Fe wagon. Police have made inquiries with the previous owner of the motorcycle but have been unable to identify the owners.

CHELSEA HEIGHTS
A 27-year-old Frankston man is on the run after a man in his 40s was stabbed in a pub carpark in Chelsea Heights during the early hours of June 18. The man was stabbed in the head after an argument with two men and two women in the car park of the Chelsea Heights Hotel just after 3.30am. He was taken to The Alfred hospital in a critical condition. Police are hoping to speak with Mr Manuel and other suspects who remain on the run.
HEATHERTON
Two men have walked away unscathed after a plane was forced to make an emergency landing on the fairway of Capital Golf Course on June 16. Firefighters, police and paramedics responded to an emergency call by Moorabbin Airport just after 3pm. The pilot and his male passenger were treated by paramedics but escaped uninjured. The incident was declared under control within half an hour, the plane did not catch fire on impact and no fuel leaked. At this stage it’s not known what caused the emergency.

A police officer has been charged with indecent assault after a Professional Standards Command investigation. The Senior Sergeant, from Victoria Police’s Southern Metro region, has been summonsed to appear at court at a later date. The charge relates to an incident in 2009.
