As callisthenics rises in popularity, more than 100 clubs across Victoria are producing a roster of prize-winning performers.

To accompany our list of some of Victoria’s best callisthenics performers, we have compiled a list of some of the best callisthenics clubs across the state to pique your interest.

The club was founded in 1956 and takes performers from three years old to adult.

Aurora Calisthenics College is a Hughesdale based club in Melbourne’s southeast.

The club was founded by Nicolette Rance in 1999.

Bentleigh Calisthenics College is the largest callisthenics club in Victoria, with more than 190 students.

The club was founded in 1955 and takes students from as young as two years old, all the way to 75 year olds.

The club operates out of the Bentleigh Uniting Church Hall on Centre Rd.

Boronia Calisthenics College is a callisthenics club located in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.

The club has been operating for more than 50 years, taking students from three years old.

The club was formed in 1968 by a group of local mothers who wanted a club in their area.

The club was founded in 1985 and was the first Victorian club to compete with an all boys tinies team.

The club takes students from six years and under.

The club turns 100 years old this year after being founded in 1923.

Crown Calisthenics is a callisthenics club operating from Burwood in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.

The club takes students from four years of age.

The Hawthorn Calisthenics College is based in Hawthorn, in Melbourne’s inner east.

The club was founded in 1969, celebrating 50 years of competition in 2019.

The Hawthorn Calisthenics Club takes students from Tinies (seven years old and under) all the way to Masters (open age).

The Hidden Valley Calisthenics Team is a newly established club making a name for itself in just north of Melbourne.

Operating out of Wallan, the new club takes all aged performers.

Jeaden Calisthenic College

Jeaden Calisthenics College is a callisthenics club in Clayton.

Jeaden Calisthenics Club is the current holder of the Calisthenics Victoria Award for Champions of Champions, which is awarded to the most successful Championship Club in 2022.

Knox Waverley Calisthenics Club

The Knox Waverley Calisthenics Club was originally based in Waverley before moving permanently to Scoresby in 2006.

Founded in 1962, the club was first named The Waverley Calisthenics Club, but was changed to the Knox Waverley Calisthenics Club in 2014.

The club takes students of all ages.

Merinda Calisthenic College

Merinda Calisthenics College is a club based in Bundoora, in Melbourne’s northeast.

The club was founded in 1980, starting with 94 pupils, many of whom are still connected to the college today.

Merinda means “beautiful girl, or woman”.

The club takes students from the age of three, and currently has almost 200 students.

Mildura Calisthenics Club, based in the northwestern regional city, is one of the best clubs in Victoria.

With students aged from four years old to 104 years old, the club has been running for 41 years, launched in 1982.

Founded in 1932, the club celebrated 90 years of callisthenics in 2022.

The club was founded in 1981 and has continued to grow ever since.

Regent Calisthenics Club is a club based in Ringwood, in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.

Regent Calisthenics was founded in 1939 and originally opened in North Fitzroy, moving to its new home in 2009.

The club takes students from four years old and older.

The club was founded in 1984 and is a family run club.

The club was founded in 1962, under the name St Matthews Calisthenics Club.

The club changed its name in 1980 and has been going from strength to strength ever since.

The club’s junior team were crown state champions last year.

The Kingston Calisthenics College is a callisthenics club based in Aspendale in Melbourne’s southeast.

The club was founded more than 20 years ago, and continues to produce some of the most talented performers in the callisthenics space today.
