POP star Taylor Henderson will tick off one of his dream gig venues when he performs a free set at Melbourne’s iconic Federation Square.
The X-Factor Australia runner-up is taking to the stage and celebrating what he loves about the world’s most liveable city as part of #SnapMelbourne, a national day of photo-sharing on Wednesday, November 16.
How to #SnapMelbourne: What you need to do to get involved in the community event of the year
Henderson, who will release his third album One More Minute next year, said the architectural landmark had long been on his performance wishlist.
“I’ve always wanted to sing there, it’s such a great spot in the heart of the city. It’s really my vibe,” he said.
The Victorian singer-songwriter will perform from 1pm and be available for photos and autographs.
His set, which will include songs from his new album One More Minute, will be part of a range of activities at the site from 11.30am to 2.30pm.
“I’m urging people to take as many photos as you can and share them, adding the hashtag #SnapMelbourne,” Henderson said. “Let’s show off this awesome city.”
People who take part in #SnapMelbourne by snapping a photo and getting a printout from the Instagram printers on-site will also be treated to free food, including burgers from Mr Burger, Mr Whippy ice cream and Franklin coffee.
