Mickleham Primary School, Hume Anglican Grammar, Penleigh and Essendon Grammar returns to the classroom for 2023
Plenty of schools in Melbourne’s northwest is back in action and welcomed a bunch of new prep students to the classroom, see what they got up to in their first week.

School is back in session and some new students walked into the classroom for the first time.
At Mickleham Primary School, it was a busy sight as the school continues to work towards completion of an expanded campus with a new learning area to be completed this year but it mattered little for the new students as they bounded into the classrooms.

The school opened up its doors as Leader got to meet some of their prep students before they hit the books.
Assistant principal Hannah Rose said the school was looking forward to an exciting year ahead in the classroom.
“We are excited to welcome so many new students to Mickleham Primary School,” she said.
“Our prep students are especially keen to get started in the classroom.”
Other schools were also busy in Melbourne’s northwest this week as they welcomed a new cohort.
Hume Anglican Grammar and Penleigh and Essendon Grammar were among those who welcomed new students who started their school journey. See photos from all of their first weeks down below.
