An Italian restaurant with function spaces, ice-cream and a grocer opened in Mildura on Wednesday night.
400 Gradi is the sixth store to open in Victoria in what founder Johnny Di Francessco described as an authentic experience of Italy.
“Mildura is such an awesome place with great weather, amazing agriculture and right in the middle of three states,” he said.
Mr Di Francessco said he could not wait for the people of Mildura to see the new restaurant.
“We are so excited to be here in Mildura. We hope everyone loves the concept as much as we do,” he said.
The restaurant’s building dates back to 1920 and highlights Mildura’s Mediterranean climate.
Timber floors and a dark stone bar complement stone and timber furniture which creates what Mr Di Francessco said was “the best store” they had done.
“Come out and enjoy,” he said.
“Get a similar feel to being in Melbourne right here in your backyard.”
400 Gradi will be open from Wednesday-Sunday for lunch and dinner.
