Yarra Valley crime: Millgrove alleged kidnapping on McKenzie King Drive

A pair on kidnapping and unlawful imprisonment charges allegedly assaulted a man before forcing him to do something very strange.

A man has allegedly been forced to crawl along a street in Millgrove while cars drove past as part of a kidnapping.

Yarra Ranges detectives are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information on the alleged incident, which happened between 3.30 and 6.30pm in the vicinity of McKenzie King Drive, on November 1.

Detective Senior Constable Nick Fiedler said the victim was allegedly made to crawl 500m down the road and had been assaulted with weapons prior to the demand.

The man needed medical treatment following the incident, Sen-Constable Fiedler said.

He said two men were charged with a plethora of offences including unlawful imprisonment, kidnapping, assault causing injury, armed robbery, and theft.

Both men have been remanded in custody.
