Australia’s largest Sporting Globe is officially opening its doors at Knox Ozone tomorrow
With a rooftop bar that boasts scenic views of the Yarra Ranges and three floors of sports and entertainment broadcasting, the family-friendly venue has all tastes covered.
The Sporting Globe has taken the place of Dragon Boat restaurant and will features the largest rooftop beer garden in Knox, a restaurant and dining area, booths with touch screens, an array of beers on tap and a giant jumbotron screen.
The Sporting Globe founder and chief executive, James Sinclair, said he was excited to bring the brand to Knox.
The Knox Leader previously revealed the company was about to break ground at Chirnside Park Shopping Centre at the front of Reading Cinemas, with the $6 million sports bar expected to be open by mid-2020.
When finished, the Chirnside Park venue will be even larger than the one in Knox.
“We know how passionate the local community are about sports in general and expect the restaurant, bar and rooftop to be a big drawcard for locals to dine, drink and be entertained with content from around the world to enjoy with family and friends,” Mr Sinclair said.
“There is no other facility in the area that features a rooftop bar with incredible views across Knox Ozone and beyond.

“So we are really excited to open in time for the holiday period, allowing guests to relax and enjoy over summer.”
The venue is offering free chicken wings to patrons who sign up to its free loyalty app between December 17 and 24.
The venue has 50 screens and room to accommodate up to 700 patrons.
The second level features a mezzanine and large function space to cater for 120 people and aimed at giving sporting clubs, businesses and people the opportunity to hosts events.
