A man has been arrested following two alleged late-night stabbings as partygoers left Westfield Knox.

According to a post on the Eyewatch – Knox Police Service Area Facebook page, the alleged incident occurred outside a licensed venue at the Wantirna South shopping centre on Saturday, April 18 at 1.30am.

Knox detective Senior Constable Ben Robertson said two men were walking down Adelaide St towards the Goodlife gym when they were approached by a 21-year-old man of no fixed address.

The man then allegedly stabbed one man in the shoulder and the other in his torso.

The two victims, both 21-year-olds from Knoxfield, were rushed to The Alfred hospital with serious injuries.

Knox detectives searched a home on Burwood Highway in Wantirna South on Monday, April 19, which led them to a home in Austin St, Alphington.

Police visited the home on the evening of Tuesday, April 20 and arrested the man.

He has been charged with multiple offences and has been remanded to face the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 21.
