A Lilydale woman has been killed after she was struck by a car in Tecoma.
Victoria Police said the woman was hit by the car as she attempted to cross Burwood Highway near Sandells Rd about 11.12pm Friday.
The pedestrian, a 47-year-old Lilydale woman, sadly died at the scene.
According to the Knox Eyewatch Facebook page, passers-by administered first aid but the woman was unable to be revived.
The female driver was uninjured and remained at the scene.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated.
It was a tragic weekend on the roads in the Yarra Ranges, with the body of a 43-year-old Chum Creek man found close to his crashed car on Friday night.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash that happened on Healesville-Kinglake Rd in Chum Creek just before midnight.
Emergency services were called to the scene after the damaged vehicle was located, with nobody inside.
