The Bucks have been busy.

Dandenong District powerhouse Buckley Ridges will add an international pair to its side ahead of the 2023-24 Turf 1 summer.

The Bucks have signed classy Sri Lankan bat Roshen Silva and West Indian all-rounder Kadeem Allenye.

Silva, 34, played 12 Tests for Sri Lanka averaging 35.10 and passed 50 eight times for one century.

The right-hander made his debut for Sri Lanka on a tour of India in 2017 and recorded his maiden century the following year in Bangladesh.

Silva’s First Class record speaks for itself, scoring over 10,000 runs at an average of nearly 50 with 48 half-centuries and 28 hundreds.

Allenye, meanwhile, is a promising 23-year-old all-rounder that has played five List A matches in the West Indies.

“We’re very excited, we have tracked him (Silva) for a couple of years now,” Buckley Ridges president Sonny De Silva said.

“With two-dayers coming back we wanted to change up our line-up a bit and he fits in perfectly, he can bat all day, he averages nearly 40 in Test cricket.

“Allenye is an all-rounder, he bowls a hard ball and can absolutely smash it; with the group we have we’re in the process of getting in young players early.”

The Bucks have lost the past two Turf 1 grand finals to Springvale South but appears to be looking to resurrect those losses immediately.

Michael Davies is set to go around again while Mahela Udawatte will not be at Park Oval next summer.
