A red army is assembling to run with Warranwood’s Harrison Pennicott — and his special beard-shaving best mate is leading the pack.
More than 200 of Harrison’s family and friends will be part of Team Harrison in Sunday’s Herald Sun/Transurban Run For The Kids.
They include Essendon AFL captain Dyson Heppell and his girlfriend Kate Turner, who will run side-by-side with the youngster on the day.

HARRISON PENNICOTT STARTS INTENSE SCLERODERMA TREATMENT
Harrison, 6, has been a patient at The Royal Children’s Hospital for three years as he fights the rare skin and auto-immune disease scleroderma.
Heppell, whose grandmother died from the disease, shaved off his beard for Harrison last year and raised nearly $65,000 for Scleroderma Victoria.
Harrison’s mum Leesa said the run was the family’s way of thanking the hospital and its staff.
She said they were amazed at how big their team had grown this year and the support they have received from the community.
“Harrison just plucked 200 out of his mind, and that’s the number we aimed for,” Leesa said.
“2018 was so tough, but everyone rallied around us, and they’re rallying round us again.”
The family will be having a celebration lunch with team members at the Croydon Hotel after the run.
