Rowville woman critical after Wantirna South crash, and two drivers stopped on Dorset Rd
A woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after crashing her car into a traffic light pole in Wantirna South. Meanwhile, police busted two other motorists for drug-driving in separate incidents in Knox.

A Rowville woman is in a critical condition in hospital and two disqualified, drug-taking drivers have been taken off the road after police were called to separate incidents in the eastern suburbs.
The 30-year-old driver was taken to The Alfred hospital after crashing her Nissan Hatchback into a traffic light pole on Stud Rd near Harcrest Boulevard in Wantirna South, about 8.35pm on Friday, May 1.
Knox highway patrol Acting Sergeant Tanya Lavin said the woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and police are asking witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
Acting Sgt Lavin said police were investigating whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
Meanwhile, two disqualified drug-drivers were caught when highway patrol officers stopped them in separate incidents on Dorset Rd.
Acting Sgt Lavin said police stopped a 26-year-old woman for driving while disqualified in Bayswater and she tested positive for drugs about 8.50pm on Sunday, May 3.

Half an hour later just down the road police stopped a 26-year-old Rowville man in Boronia for driving while disqualified.
He also tested positive for drug-driving.
The drug-driving duo will both be charged on summons.
