What do you love most about your sport?
I love competing and pushing myself to be the best I can be. I even hate losing at board games.
Describe the toughest challenge you’ve faced:
I hurt my foot leading up to state athletics earlier this year so I couldn’t train leading up to the event. My parents suggested I pull out but I desperately wanted to run. I was very happy to finish fourth in all three events, 400, 800 and 1500 and ran a personal best in two of them.
What is your ultimate sporting goal?
My dream job is to make the Olympics. Running is my favourite but playing for the Hockeryroos would be amazing.
Who are your sporting heroes?
Usain Bolt is my all time favourite. He is soooo fast.
‘I couldn’t have done this without …’
My coaches in all of my sports, but mainly my family. My mum and dad drive me to all my training and events. My older sister Sophie and younger brother Mitchell, are my biggest supporters — when they’re not competing in their own sports.
Do you have anything else you’d like to add?
Sport is the best. All kids should do sport, maybe not as much as me, but they should be active.
