A longstanding Ringwood pub has ditched half its name and has a fresh new look.
The Coach has its grand reopening on Saturday following an ownership change and extensive renovations last year.
Formerly known as The Coach and Horses, the upgrades to the pub were completed in November, a month after the Collingwood Football Club sold the hotel to the Melbourne Racing Club.

The hotel boasts a revamped and relocated sports bar which leads out to a cosy alfresco area.
It also has a new cafe, a lift to its level one function room, and a refurbished family bistro.
Manager Brett Maylin said the venue wanted to “bring ourselves into the new millennium”.
“We’re one of the oldest pubs in Ringwood, and we hadn’t had any love for a while, so we decided to give it some love,” Mr Maylin said.
“The staff and the customers are embracing the change and it’s a breath of fresh air.”
Mr Maylin said he wanted to pub to be seen as a family-friendly venue which offered entertainment for visitors of all ages.
The pub still has its poker machines.
True to the pub’s name, Saturday’s celebrations will include horse and carriage rides, along with a footy handball competition and gift bags.
There will also be other family-friendly activities including a petting zoo, a maze, face painting, a jumping castle and a visit from the Easter bunny.
The Coach’s grand opening is on Saturday, 11am-4pm, at 33 Maroondah Highway, Ringwood.
