Ringwood: Two men arrested after drugs, stolen items found at Greenwood Ave home

Two men have been allegedly busted growing crops and possessing other drugs in an early morning raid in Melbourne’s outer east.

A stash of allegedly stolen number plates, drugs and other items have been seized in a police raid in Melbourne’s outer east.

Croydon detective Senior Sergeant Jim Sutherland said officers arrested two men, including one already on bail, at a home in Greenwood Ave, Ringwood on February 25 at 8.40am.

They uncovered three cannabis plants and small amounts of other drugs including GHB and ice.

Sen-Sgt Sutherland said a collection of allegedly stolen car number plates and other items were also found inside the home.

Two men living at the home, aged 40 and 32, were arrested and taken to Croydon police station for questioning.

The 40-year-old man was charged with a string of alleged offences including cultivating cannabis, drug possession, handling stolen goods and fraudulent use of number plates.

The 32-year-old was charged with alleged drug possession and committing offences while on bail.

Sen-Sgt Sutherland said the two men were bailed to face the Ringwood Magistrates’ Court on June 23.
