Ridge Rd, Kalorama house searched and man arrested on drug charges

A Kalorama man has been arrested after police allegedly found an array of drugs at a house near the tourist lookout.

Party drugs, magic mushrooms and thousands of dollars in cash have allegedly been seized and man arrested near the Kalorama lookout.

Croydon divisional tasking unit detectives ran surveillance on a Ridge Rd address before arresting a 28-year-old hills man on Thursday, September 24.

Sergeant Ell McGibbony said police allegedly seized two bags of cocaine, $12,800 in cash from the man’s pocket.

Sgt McGibbony said the officers then searched the man’s house and allegedly seized magic mushrooms, ecstasy, cannabis, and $260 cash.

The man was remanded and charged with trafficking cocaine and cannabis, possessing cocaine, cannabis, ecstasy, psilocybe cubensis, and possessing the proceeds of crime.

He was also charged with contravening bail, two counts of resisting arrest, and given a COVID fine after allegedly spitting in an officer’s face.
