Nathan Byers accused of Supercheap Auto, Glen Waverley assault

A Chirnside Park man is allegedly on the run after police claim he assaulted two men inside a Glen Waverley car shop during an aggravated burglary.

A man accused of a vicious assault during an alleged aggravated burglary at a Glen Waverley shop is allegedly on the run after failing to appear at his first court appearance.

Nathan Byers, 22, failed to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, accused of assaulted two people at a Supercheap Auto in Glen Waverley last year.

The Chirnside Park man went into the motorshop on High Street Rd and allegedly assaulted Cameron Birch and Jeffrey Tzouvelis, before allegedly damaging a glass door and fleeing with a drill.

He was charged by Oakleigh detectives on March 7, and as a result of his no appearance a warrant was issued for his arrest by Magistrate Brett Sonnet.
