A Melbourne couple has been split apart by cops after the lovebirds were taken down for a major alleged drug dealing operation.
Jacquelin ‘Jackie’ Coady, 33, fronted Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of drugs.
Ms Coady and her lover John ‘Johnny’ Smith, who the court heard was also charged with trafficking drugs, were arrested at their Mulgrave home on January 5 this year.
Ms Coady, who was also charged with possess ammo and a registered longarm without a licence, was also allegedly nabbed with a firearm.
Casey Crime Investigation Unit detectives allegedly seized various drugs including cocaine, cannabis, meth, anabolic steroids and GHB-mirror drug 1,4 butanediol.
Ms Coady, who was also charged with trafficking 1,4 butanediol, was also allegedly nabbed with a dicey driver’s licence and $3480 cash.
Ms Coady, who was charged with dealing with the proceeds of crime and various alleged drug possessions, had her bail extended to front court at a later date.
The pair remain split up after the arrest because Ms Coady retained freedom while Mr Smith was locked up in custody.
Mr Smith, who appeared on remand via videolink, will front court again next month.
