A woman has been arrested and about $20,000 of heroin and prescription drugs seized following two house raids in Melbourne’s outer east.

Knox police sergeant Ell McGibbony said uniformed officers and Croydon detectives raided a home in Kingsburgh Lane, Lilydale at 5am on Thursday, April 22.

Sgt McGibbony said officers allegedly found 20g of heroin and other prescription drugs, which he said had a street value of around $20,000.

A 37-year-old woman living at the home was arrested and taken to Knox police station for questioning.

Sgt McGibbony said officers later raided another home linked to the woman in Pentlowe Rd, Wantirna South at 7am.

They allegedly found more prescription drugs and power tools suspected to have been the proceeds of crime.

No one was inside the Wantirna South home at the time of the raid.

The woman is expected to be charged with drug offences, committing an indictable offence on bail, and other bail and dishonesty offences.

Sgt McGibbony said the two raids were part of Operation Wipeout, an ongoing police investigating mid-level drug trafficking with the Knox police service area.
