An unexpected visitor had neighbours hopping with excitement in Bayswater.
Stephen Egan shared a video of a kangaroo hopping down Kings College Drive on October 27 at 7.09am, with people rushing from their homes to check out the cute passer-by.
Mr Egan said he was interested to hear if anyone else had spotted the kangaroo and hoped it had been relocated safety.
Warriors 4 Wildlife director Carla Penn said while it was not called out to help that kangaroo, her organisation had responded to an increasing number of roos in the area, including one on busy Mountain Highway.

“They are all coming further down unfortunately due to what is happening with development and lack of food,” Ms Penn said.
“The spring grass is just starting to come through now but with reserves and corridors getting smaller and smaller there is not as much grass for them anymore, and they have to travel from one area to another to find more food.”
She said she had also been called out to help an injured deer in Bayswater.
