Hoddles Creek crime: Lusatia Park Road illegal deer hunting under investigation
A Hoddles Creek resident was rudely woken when a falling picture turned out to be something more sinister.

A sleeping Hoddles Creek resident has had a rude awakening after a shot was fired into their house in what police suspect is a case of illegal deer hunting.
The person woke up to a picture frame falling in their Lusatia Park Rd bedroom to find the bullet lodged in the wall about 4.30am on Saturday, July 24.
Yarra Ranges detective Sergeant Leigh Thomson said the resident saw car tail lights out the front of the house before the vehicle took off.

Sgt Thomson said upon further investigation the person discovered an injured deer.
He said detectives have examined the scene and police are appealing to anyone with CCTV footage or information on the incident to contact detective Senior Constable Ross McDonald.
