A man has been taken to hospital after a car crashed into a coin laundry on a small shopping strip in the heart of Bayswater.
The crash occurred on High St at 10.35am, near the Mountain Highway intersection and next to a noodle bar.
It is believed a man driving a silver Holden Cruze crashed into the front windows causing minor damage.
No one was inside the coin laundry at the time of the crash, and police and firefighters have taped off the scene.
Boronia police Senior Constable Brendan Gurr said an elderly man was driving the car and had been taken to Maroondah Hospital for treatment.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said the man appeared to have suffered upper body injuries and was in a stable condition.
Sen-Constable Gurr said officers were working to investigate the cause and circumstances surrounding the crash.
