A small house has gone up in flames in Healesville.

CFA crews were called to the blaze on Myers Creek Rd about 8.06am Sunday, September 6.

Healesville CFA captain Brian Earl said the small house, about 8m by 8m, similar to a bungalow, was well alight when crews arrived.

Firefighters worked for almost an hour putting out the fire.

Mr Earl said the property had multiple dwellings on it.

The owner of the dwelling that burnt down was not at home at the time of the fire and nobody was injured.

Mr Earl said the cause of the fire was still under investigation.

The CFA said six CFA units from Healesville, Balnarring, Hillcrest, Coldstream and Badger Creek brigades attended the scene.

The incident was under control by 8.24am and declared safe by 9.50am.
