On a day fit for pizza-loving queens (and kings), 400 Gradi is offering diners the chance to try their world-famous margherita pizza for free in Melbourne restaurants.
The pizza, made by Gradi’s Johnny Di Francesco, was named the best in the world at the Campionato Mondiale Della Pizza (Pizza World Championship) in Italy in 2014.

400 Gradi is offering up the free slices of cheesy goodness to celebrate not only the Queen’s Birthday, but National Margherita Pizza Day.
Its origins date back to 1889 when an Italian pizzaiolo made the first margherita pizza in honour of Queen Margherita of Savoy.
To get your hands on a free margherita pizza, you must dine in at one of the 400 Gradi restaurants at Eastland, Crown, Brunswick or Essendon on Monday.
Once you’re there, order the pizza, put a pic of it on your Instagram page, tag @gradigroup, and then show a staff member.
And just like that, you get to enjoy the world’s best pizza for free on your day off.
There’s a limit of one free pizza between two people, and obviously, the offer is only available tomorrow.
