Emperor Champagne’s Kyla Kirkpatrick is hosting Mother’s Day masterclasses at Eastland

The bubbly will be flowing fast when Melbourne’s ‘Champagne Dame’ runs specialty workshops at one of the city’s biggest shopping centres.

Kyla Kirkpatrick is hosting champagne masterclasses at Eastland from May 9-13.

The bubbly will be well and truly flowing as Melbourne’s ‘Champagne Dame’ makes her mark on Eastland this week.

Kyla Kirkpatrick is hosting five special masterclasses at the Ringwood shopping centre in the lead-up to Mother’s Day on Sunday.

The 90-minute workshops are perfect for bubbly-loving mums or newbies to champagne.

They include tastings of different styles including blanc de banc, rosé, non-vintage and vintage.

Participants also get to learn about champagne etiquette and watch a sabrage performance.

Ms Kirkpatrick, the chief executive of Emperor Champagne, said she would be taking her guests on “a journey into the world of champagne” and was timely for Mother’s Day.

“Some of the most important changes in champagne’s history were actually orchestrated by females,” she said.

“It’s a celebration of women and all the people we are featuring in the masterclass have been mothers. This is more than just a champagne tasting, it’s an experience.”

The workshops are happening daily at different times from Thursday.

Entry is $25 and along with all the champagne tastings, ticketholders get a share tasting plate, a $10 Eastland gift card, half-price Valet parking and a gift from Sisko Chocolate.
